This is the first Filipino made car! Made by Aurelio Automobile. Fiber glass chassis, exterior, mechanical linkages and hydraulics. The only downside with it is it still used Japanese made engines to run the Filipino car and some or maybe all of its instruments in the dashboard are foreign manufactured instruments.
The Philippines DO NOT have a research and development (R&D) and the facilities to manufacture cranckases, valves, connecting rods, pistons, etc. or to make it short capability to manufacture our own Engines just like the Japanese or the Indonesians do to make it entirely so called Filipino made.
The Philippines rely majority of our hardwares overseas and that makes us less advantageous with our Asian neighbors.
Maybe soon we will if a certain Henry Sy or a Lucio Tan or maybe the Ayala group invested heavily in such a plan in having a plant or plants that can do engines and special metals backed by the Philippine government.
